Fastjet

Fastjet is a multi-award-winning African value airline that began flight operations in 2012. Its awards include Leading African Low-Cost Carrier World Travel Awards 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 2020 and 2021, and Skytrax World Airline Awards Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa 2017 and 2019, and in the top ten finalists for 2021. The African airline for everyone that began flight operations in Tanzania from November 2012 to December 2018, flying passengers from its hub in Dar es Salaam to just two domestic destinations – Kilimanjaro and Mwanza.

In November 2017, Fastjet began branded domestic flights in Mozambique (Operated by Solenta Aviation Mozambique) between Maputo and Beira, Nampula and Tete. These services were suspended in October 2019, following diminishing travel demands of the local travellers.

In November 2022 fastjet will celebrate its seventh successful year of operations in Zimbabwe. The carrier continues to operate daily return services between Harare and Bulawayo, Harare, and Victoria Falls, and internationally from Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls to Johannesburg in South Africa, which remains a popular destination choice for fastjet customers. The airline has recently added two new international destinations to their flight network from Victoria Falls, the tourism capital in Zimbabwe to Kruger, Nelspruit Mpumalanga in South Africa, and Maun the tourism capital of Botswana.

The airline strives to be locally respected and globally recognised. Partnering with international airlines recognised worldwide, fastjet has extended flights services beyond Zimbabwe with unilateral interline ticketing agreements via Johannesburg, South Africa.

Since commencing operations fastjet has flown over 3.6 million passengers and has established itself as a punctual and reliable airline brand, with a range of value-added products and services which includes free baggage allowances, flexible change options, multiple payment channels, airport lounge access on select routes, and options with other service providers such as car hire.
